Information Systems

The Information Systems Department at the Stanislaus County Office of Education provides information systems and database support for the County Office and twenty-five local school districts. From training and support to online development and project management, we strive to provide high quality customer service and proven technical skills.

  • Information Systems provides QSS/QCC support services to SCOE and  twenty-five local school districts that use the QSS Oasis Finance, HR, AP and Payroll system. 

  • We support Aeries, which is a student information system used by our County charter schools, Alternative Education and Special Education programs.

  • We support Laserfiche, a document management and workflow system, which is implemented in many departments and local school districts. 

  • We support the SCOE Website, which recently went "live" with a new and improved design.

  • Additional areas of support include trainingweb development, analysis, testing, and technical guidance to serve our clients' needs.

I cannot login to Laserfiche. What do I do?

If you are a SCOE employee, make sure the "Use Windows Authentication" option is selected when logging in. For this or other Laserfiche related questions and technical assistance, please submit a ticket at https://www.stancoe.org/help.

How do I learn more about Laserfiche?

1. Attend a class at SCOE. Check our SCOE Events page or Technology Training Calendar to search for a list of class offerings. To schedule a class that is not currently scheduled, contact the Information Systems Department at https://www.stancoe.org/help.

How do I report a technical issue?

Please submit a ticket describing your technical issue at https://www.stancoe.org/help, and one of our dedicated technicians will assist you. If the issue needs immediate attention, please call the Technology Services Helpdesk at (209) 238-4357.

Why can't I see my new QCC module popping up when I click on it?

Most likely your window is popping up off the screen. To correct this, hover your cursor over the module icon in your windows taskbar, and right=click on the preview for options. Select 'Maximize' and then drag to center. If you need additional assistance, please submit a request at https://www.stancoe.org/help.

 

Why doesn't my username and password work in ESS?

If your district has signed up to use ESS (or you are an employee of SCOE), first check to see that you have registered for ESS (please follow this guide). Also, when you are logging in make sure you have selected the correct district from the drop-down box  in the upper right-hand side of the screen. If you need additional assistance, contact us at https://www.stancoe.org/help.

How do I see what training sessions are available to attend?

Check out the SCOE Events page or the Technology Training Calendar for available classes. For any training classes not scheduled, we encourage requests or inquiries by emailing helpdesk [ahtsym] stancoe [dhotsym] org ().

Help! I forgot my QCC password. What should I do?

Requests for QCC password resets go through your District Security Contact (generally your CBO or their designee) for security reasons. They will liaise with our department, and send you a new password. SCOE personnel should contact the Information Systems department directly at ext. 1430 or by submitting a ticket request at: https://www.stancoe.org. 

What is the difference between QSS and QCC?

QSS stands for Quintessential School Systems, which is the server software that holds all the data, and it's also the name of the company that sells the Finance, HR, AP/AR and Payroll system. QCC stands for QSS Control Center, which is the Windows client application that users see on their computers and use to login to access the application.
