Pre-Apprenticeship Construction Training Program
Stanislaus County Office of Education in partnership with Northern California Construction Training, Inc. (NCCT) offers a building trade’s pre-apprenticeship program that helps prepare individuals for entry into the various construction trades apprenticeships. We provide tools, as well as remedial education, and resources to receive a high school diploma. The primary goal is placement in a construction apprenticeship training program.
During the six month program you will learn the use of construction terms & equipment, development of proper work habits & skills, general job safety, measurement & basic blueprint reading, enhance & improve Math, Reading & Writing skills, 22 Trades of Construction, and preparation for Apprenticeship exams. The six-month program includes;
- Classroom Instruction
- Mock-up Building Practice
- Industry Certifications ( students must attend classes regularly to be eligible for the Industry Certification boot camps)
Classes are available Monday - Wednesday
7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Industry Recognized Certifications are also offered for the following: Ladder Safety/Fall Protection, Introduction to Photovoltaics - Module 1, Confined Space Entry, Introduction to Photovoltaics - Module 2, First Aid/CPR, Forklift Class 1,4,5, Work Zone Safety/Traffic Control, Uponor/Tracpipe Installation,
OSHA 8HR, OSHA 8 DOT Hazmat Awareness, OSHA 10, Hilti Powder Actuated Tools, 40 Hour Hazwoper, and Flagging (ATSSA).
The Construction Technology Program is a job preparation program offered to adults 18 years and older.
*Students must be enrolled in the program and students must attend classes regularly to be eligible for the Industry Certifications listed above.
