Level II Transition Program (SpEd Candidates)

SCOE Induction's Level II Transition program was designed to address the competencies needed to clear a Level I Education Specialist Credential.  (If your credential is General Education, or PRELIMINARY Education Specialist, you will not need this program).

Target Audience: Candidates who are clearing a Level I Education Specialist credential* and their mentors.  [Not sure?  How to check your credential (PDF)]

Open to: Any Level I Education Specialist candidates (both in the SCOE Induction Program and now, Out of Consortium candidates as well).

Candidate Cost: $1000*

What to Expect: Candidates will attend, with their mentor (mandatory), a by-appointment event in the Fall where they will have the competency work laid out for them.  They will then attend another by-appointment event in the Spring where they will complete and submit their work. 

Units: Successful completion of the Level II transition program creates eligibility for one unit of Extended Education from CSUS for $40.00. [Unit only available in the year of program completion (ie: 18-19).  Level II Program completion and unit application must occur before the unit deadline for the year (1st Friday in June)]

*Note: Level II Transition program must be used in conjunction with successful completion of an authorized Induction program to clear a Level I Education Specialist credential.  The Level II program, in and of itself, cannot clear this credential.
